meryl, Let me say that you have shared such excellent names of the parks here which are located in the USA and known as its National Parks. I would say that I have visited few parks from this list and had really a great time there. Crater Lake National Park is my most favorite from this list due to its brilliant beauty.

All of the places are so much beautiful and visiting able but this place which added in my cart is Grand Canyon National Park. I am going around of Grand Canyon National Park as well as very soon. So, have to need to know much more about Grand Canyon National Park. If you have any information about its awful activities then must suggest me frankly.

All the members gave you nice suggestions but according to me your should pick Acadia National Park and Yosemite National Park as your summer destinaion because these places are filled with lush green beauty and will be best for you to visit in the summer season. Nature will grab your attention and will the time truly pleasant for you. These other places are also best for exploring but I think in summer season greenery around you will make your so happy.
