5 General Rules for the Forum
Please, do read and follow all of the rules in order to avoid disciplinary actions from The Staff.
1. Posts are to be made in the adequate thread. Read the forum descriptions before posting anything. Use the search engine before making a question. Do not cross post questions. Avoid posting the same question in different threads. Do not post out of character in the Role Play section anywhere else but the Out of Character Forum.
(i.e. Questions are to be made in here: Q&A. Suggestions are to be made here: Suggestions.)
2. Do not spam or self-promote. Posting any kind of scam is prohibited. Spam includes but isn't limited to: Unsolicited advertisement, unrelated or unnecessary posts, duplicate posts, Gibberish, etc. There are few exceptions; The Off-Topic section is going to be more tolerant about the subject.
(i.e. A survey asking about your favorite online music store is welcomed in the Music and Production forums.)
3. Respect copyrighted material. Do not post or attach any copyright-infringing material (Anything that would get you in trouble with the owner). Mentioning any kind of illegal or pirate website or software is prohibited. Give the corresponding credit when using someone else materials, quotes, etc; Link or mention your sources too.
(i.e "Please register and expect news from me soon!" - Kebren . Quoted from RPToG.proboards.com. )
- Also acceptable when quoting from this forum:
4. Refrain from posting explicit content. Referring, or linking a source of explicit content is also prohibited. Explicit content includes but isn't limited to: Physical, mental and sexual abuse, Nudity of any kind (Including artistic), erotic writing, offensive language, substance abuse, etc. Limits to your role play experience: You can kiss, hug, touch and even kill someone during Role Play, but it must be done for the sake of the story and not the individual writing it. It is a debatable topic, subject to discussion, but remember that The Staff will have the last word on it.
(i.e. During role play or storytelling a character may die during combat. It is OK to narrate it, as long as it is not detailed in sadistic manner, as in how much blood it spilled, it's appearance after the incident, etc. A good example of narrating a violent act, and not being explicit about it could be: Mr. KebRen fought courageously, but at the end, his life was taken by the enemy's sword. - Do not give much details and continue to the next scene.)
5. Do not discriminate. Be just to everyone, including people who are not just or don't follow the rules. Respect The Staff (List of Staff members will be made later on), and let them be the ones who take action against any infringement of the rules. Discrimination do not only include gender, ethnicity, race, status, etc. It is also considered discrimination to not be nice to someone because of a particular judgment you have towards that person. Be nice to everyone, and don't feel discouraged from reporting anyone who is not being nice to you.
(PM the corresponding Staff Member to report an abuse. Do not make a public thread about it. )
