Outer Tower Floor of Origin(2F - 134F): Coming all the way to you from floor 67!
Description of your Town/City/Village/etc:
Jake comes from a large metropolis comprised of six different districts. Each district is led by a representative. That representative can make minor rules for their district and is part what is part of the Board of Leaders. More major laws are voted on by this group. A seventh member is either voted in by the board or chosen by the previous seventh member. The seventh members job is to visit different districts and spectate how they are being run. They are given three votes in during votes by the Board of Leaders. One member of the board of leaders is switched out every seven years. A group of nominees is voted on by the other members and then the member being replaced chooses one of these nominees.
More recently (starting about 40 years ago), crime has been on the rise. This, coupled with the slow reaction time from the board of leaders, has lead to the creation of several gangs and an underground hierarchy. No one really knows how the more powerful groups and their politics work, other than that anyone associated with them values their cause more than their life. Killing has been on the rise because of this violence. Everyone from young adults to the elders of the city have learned some form of self protection. Many of the gangs are even hired by groups within the population to protect their homes. A lot of criminal activity is occuring within the city at the time that Jake Johnson was chosen, although how much of it is organized and orchestrated is unknown.

Unique Distinction/Birth Mark: I suppose his glasses? Maybe his clothing? I don’t know how commonplace his clothing inside the tower is.

General Appearance:
Black hair, Hazel eyes. Jake attempts to always wear a black suit if possible, although harsher conditions may keep him from doing that. He wears a white button up shirt to go with it and a tie that is a different color depending on what color is chosen, usually favoring darker colors so that it does not stand out to much. He wears a black pair of khaki pants and black polished shoes to go with his outfit. Jake wears a pair of sunglasses at almost all times during the day, no matter what apparel he has on.
His hair is usually kept short and spiked back. He has an oval shaped face with a Greek nose type. (I googled nose types and apparently that is a type) Jake has a thin mouth. He is muscular, but most of the time it cannot be seen due to his clothing choices. If he cannot wear is preferred clothing above, then he settles for a pair of bluejeans and a t-shirt.
Reason/Motivation to Climb the Tower:
Jake Johnson desires to prove himself to his father, though how he will is unknown.
Virtues and Values:
Stays focused on the task at hand.
Values what other people can provide for him and acknowledges that it is needed.

Will do almost anything to achieve his/a goal that he believes needs to be completed.
He gets frustrated when decisions are not made and if there are indecisive people during a planning session.
Prefers not to kill a target if possible. He will if needed, but someone/something can’t provide him with anything if dead.

So… I don’t know how much of this characters backstory to put down. It appears to me that a lot of people put theirs in the Description of the town/city; however I am under the impression that that is what it is. A description of where they came from. If I need to put out more about my characters backstory, I can, but I don’t know if I want his backstory out in the open yet. I was/am planning to reveal it over time.
