Outer Tower Floor of Origin(2F - 134F): 8th Floor.

Description of your Town/City/Village/etc: Veit was born in a small Kuorinan (Human/Insect) settlement near a big city that hired them to build a cathedral (Kuorinans are well-known for being good builders/architects and craftsmen). Kuorinan settlements are not a bunch of tents, as they are fast at building, they prefer building actual houses that will last long after their short lives (about 50 years). Houses that they sell to the city when the construction is finished and they are hired elsewhere.
The construction of the cathedral took a long time even with the help of the Kuorinans, about 12 years. This allowed Veit to discover another culture than his own which is pretty rare among his people as they are often too immersed in their art to socialize. What is the most surprising in Veit is his interest for Shinsoo : Kuorinans are almost unable to control Shinsoo and thus tend to dislike Wave Controllers. When Veit was young, he encountered one and he studied Shinsoo with him in order to find a way for him to use Shinsoo (and this way, be able to live longer), determined to become the first real Kuorinan Wave Controller ever.

Eyes Color: Black (insect-like : compound eyes).

Skin Color: Pale, slightly gray.

Unique Distinction/Birth Mark: He has compound eyes, shell parts (on his forearms, shins and hands) and a short life span. Almost unable to control Shinsoo.

Height: 1.67m / 5'6".

General Appearance: As said before, Veit has black, compound eyes and dark gray shells on his shins and forearms. He wears a black headband on which he tied two pendants that he bought because they were supposed to help him to control Shinsoo... which was a lie. Still, he keeps them as a reminder of his determination. Veit also wears a long coat and a small plate armor.
Some wrinkles are starting to show on his face and his hair have already turned gray.

Reason/Motivation to Climb the Tower: Improve his ability to control Shinsoo in order to stop his fast aging. As he can't use effectively Shinsoo himself, he has to use the powers of the shield he created (its description is in the "weapon" section). But the shield is not powerful enough yet so he wants to climb the Tower in order to find new materials to improve it.
Pass on this shield to his daughter for her to live longer like him and then transmit it again... and so on...

Virtues and Values: Values life (but not to the point of refusing to kill) ; Tends to easily help others as long as it is not against his own interests ; Relies on logic to solve his problems.

Vices and Bad habits: Addicted to "Shinsoo" : he is addicted to feeling high density Shinsoo go through his body (when he drains Shinsoo with his shield). Shinsoo also affects his brain, making him partially loose control of himself when he has absorbed a large amount of Shinsoo with his shield ; Never really chooses a side, prefers to remain neutral as much as possible ; As his goal is to gather rare materials, he can be quite greedy when it comes to these.

Desired Positions: Aggressive Scout or Supporting Wave Controller.

Weapon/Ability : 1F Shield he made himself and named Athraithe. It was made with a lot of different material which are disposed so that the less Shinsoo resistant are in the middle and the more Shinsoo resistant are on the sides. This creates a kind of "Shinsoo vortex" which concentrate Shinsoo in the user's body. It allows the shield to gather a part of the Shinsoo used by the attacks it blocks and convert it so that the owner of the shield can easily control it.
In its current state, the shield is not very useful as it can't withstand attacks from F regulars/weapons and can absorb only 1% of the Shinsoo. (Athraithe doesn't negate damages)
The main drawback of this shield is that, as his owner's body is not made to receive Shinsoo, the high density Shinsoo it produces can damage Veit.
